The Kansas City Nationals Was a Success!
Friday, July 16, 2010

The Kansas City Nationals was a HUGE success!  We took thirteen students and five adults. Six of the students competed in the 32nd annual NAACP ACT-SO Competition in the categories of Music, Poetry, Mathematics, Architecture, Drama and Oratory.  The other seven students supported the competing students and also attended a variety of educational workshops.

Jalyssa James, a graduating senior from Franklin High School in Somerset, NJ, was awarded with a Silver Medal in the category of Music Vocal Contemporary for her rousing rendition of “I Have Nothing”, by Whitney Houston. Jalyssa also received scholarship money.  This fall, Jalyssa will continue her studies at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey

We are extremely proud of all of the students and can't wait to start the next season this fall. Take a look at our video gallery to see what we experienced.
